PLATINUM SPONSOR FOR 26th WORLD ENERGY CONGRESS

London, 08 January 2024: The World Energy Congress Rotterdam Organising Committee is pleased to announce PwC as a Platinum sponsor of the 26th World Energy Congress.

Taking place in Rotterdam from 22-25 April 2024, the Congress is the world’s longest established energy event, connecting the entire energy ecosystem to inspire progressive leadership thinking about the energy transition.

The Congress, themed ‘Redesigning Energy for People and Planet’, will support and promote leadership on clean and inclusive energy transitions at a critical turning point for the energy sector worldwide.

Dr. Angela Wilkinson, Secretary General and CEO of the World Energy Council, said:

“It is great to welcome PWC – one of our long standing global corporate supporters – as a platinum sponsor of the 26th World Energy Congress, which will convene a broad spectrum of energy transition stakeholders under the theme ‘Redesigning Energy for People and Planet’, in the pioneering port and world energy city of Rotterdam, 22-25 April 2024.

This 100th anniversary convening of the world’s only independent, inclusive and impactful energy leadership community will address the opportunities to make faster, fairer and more far reaching energy transitions happen for the benefit of billions of better lives and a healthy planet.

Taking place less than 100 days after the historic COP28 agreement, it is a significant moment to showcase progress, stretch leadership performance and catalyse collaboration at scale.”

Bob Moritz, Global Chair PwC, said:

“To drive change at the speed and scale necessary to tackle the climate crisis, we need cooperation from all corners of the energy ecosystem. That’s why I look forward to joining other leaders at the 2024 World Energy Congress as we work together to close the gaps towards a just, sustainable, and prosperous energy future. The Congress is a valuable forum for stakeholders from business, government and science to have that conversation, which is why PwC is proud to be one of the Platinum Sponsors of the event.”

The 26th World Energy Congress will bring together 18,000 attendees, including 7,000 delegates, 70 ministers, C-suite executives, NGOs, experts and academia, entrepreneurs and young energy leaders to reflect on the role of connected energy societies in driving forward global energy transitions.
