World Energy Congress keynote speaker

Redesigning Energy For People and Planet

There has never been a more important time for the conversations and connections that will secure new possibilities of better energy. The 26th World Energy Congress will explore the role of connected energy societies in driving forward global energy transitions in today’s less predictable, more turbulent and faster shifting world.

The theme – Redesigning Energy for People and Planet – recognises this significant moment in world energy leadership and the urgency of inclusive implementation of new solutions to address energy, climate and human security challenges. Achieving this involves fundamental changes. Yet success depends on hundreds of thousands of smaller steps.

A DIVE INTO THE EXPERIENCE

A world-class stage to turn inspiration into action.

The Congress is an opportunity to spring forward in redesigning energy for people and planet.

With around 60 impact-focused sessions, it is built on the collective insights and experience of our 100-year-old global network of nearly 100 national Member Committees. From inspiring talks, plenary sessions and community roundtables, to engaging peer-to-peer exchanges and fireside chats, the World Energy Congress connects the full spectrum of the energy and energy+ sectors. Contributors and facilitators are drawn from a deeply experienced global community of leaders and visionaries, uniting policy makers, C-suite executives, industry experts, entrepreneurs, young energy leaders and communities.

Topics will address the most current global and regional energy issues such as a global rethink on security and resilience, redesigning markets, new approaches to energy policy and financing energy transitions, technological innovations and global collaborative action on climate change to enable more and better energy for all. Regional sessions will dive into the capabilities required to enable diverse regions and communities to lead with and learn from each other.

Stay tuned as more programme updates will become available soon!
