The World Energy Council supports and promotes young professionals through its Future Energy Leaders Programme.

A key component of the Council’s convening power is facilitating inter-generational dialogue between current leaders across the energy ecosystem and those who will be leading in the future. The Future Energy Leader’s programme – then called the “Energy Leaders Group” – was formally established in 1983, to create a forum for young energy professionals around the globe to share their expertise, knowledge, and skills.

Future Energy Leaders are an integral part of the Council’s ‘how to’ community. They work side-by-side with the world’s most experienced hands, brightest minds, and biggest hearts to forge new shared understanding and sustain new and more effective cooperation in this current era of more energy and climate neutrality.

The Future Energy Leaders are a global impact community of exceptional young professionals who share our commitment to addressing the urgent need to humanise energy and whose work seeks innovative solutions for more energy and climate neutrality in the context of affordability and equality.

Connect with the next generation of exceptional global energy leaders at the World Energy Congress.
