Over the course of the two days immediately prior to the 26th World Energy Congress, the World Energy Council’s membership will convene for significant governance meetings and strategic community conversations. This will culminate in the full Executive Assembly Plenary, where the strategic direction of the Council will be collectively agreed upon by its members.
The Executive Assembly Plenary is the annual general membership meeting of the World Energy Council. The members have ultimate authority in the governance of the World Energy Council as provided in the Articles of Association and are overall responsible for managing the Council’s affairs.Â
Each Member Committee is entitled to be represented at the Executive Assembly Plenary, which is the ultimate governing authority for the Council. All Member Committees have one vote in the Executive Assembly, regardless of size or subscription category.
The World Energy Council’s global member community lies at the heart of the organisation, connecting over 3,000 organisations and national Member Committees in nearly 100 countries. Its network of energy leaders, experts and young professionals are driving impact across the full energy ecosystem to make energy transitions happen faster, fairer, and further.Â
