For over 100 years, World Energy Congress has convened the world energy community to shape an inclusive and transformational energy leadership agenda. Today, as the only truly global energy event bringing together 18,000 international leaders, CEOs and innovators alongside 100+ ministers, the Congress enables the highest levels of government-to-government dialogue and unites businesses and communities of all shapes and sizes. Co-hosted by the World Energy Council and the Ministry of Energy of Saudi Arabia, the 27th edition of World Energy Congress will take place 12–15 October 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

World Energy Congress takes place every two years in cities at the forefront of energy and energy transitions. World Energy Congress 2026 will take place 12–15 October 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The World Energy Council’s Executive Assembly will take place immediately prior, from 10–11 October 2026, for members of the World Energy Council community.

It is also the world’s longest-established energy event, backed by the World Energy Council’s independent and not-for-profit mandate.
World Energy Congress 2026 is designed for, and will bring together – the full energy ecosystem, from producers and suppliers to consumers and users of energy. The Congress will convene 18,000 international leaders, CEOs and innovators, alongside more than 100 ministers, uniting businesses and communities of all sizes from across the energy value chain.
Attendees will include business decision-makers and practitioners, buyers and energy users, as well as governments, policymakers and senior officials. Participants will span private and state-owned corporations, intergovernmental organisations, local and city authorities, regulators, civil society, academia and subject-matter experts.
The Congress will also welcome start-ups and entrepreneurs, Future Energy Leaders, foundations and advocates, together with journalists and media broadcasters.
