For over 100 years, World Energy Congress has convened the world energy community to shape an inclusive and transformational energy leadership agenda.

Bringing together 18,000 international leaders, CEOs and innovators alongside more than 100 ministers, the Congress enables the highest levels of government-to-government dialogue and unites businesses and communities of all shapes and sizes.

Co-hosted by the World Energy Council and the Ministry of Energy of Saudi Arabia, the 27th edition of World Energy Congress will take place under the theme “Inspiring Transformations, Delivering Transitions”, connecting the dots between the visionary thinking and practical action needed for delivering more secure, sustainable and equitable energy.

World Energy Congress 2027 will take place 26–29 April 2027.

World Energy Congress is the flagship convening of the World Energy Council - the world's oldest independent and impartial energy leadership community. Through our pragmatic Humanising Energy vision, we involve more people and communities in building a future of more and better energy worldwide.

Formed in 1923, the Council is a UN-accredited global energy body that has convened diverse interests across the full energy ecosystem for over a century. Today our worldwide network has over 3,000 member organisations and a presence in more than 100 countries, drawn from governments, private and state corporations, academia and civil society, as well as current and future energy leaders.

The Council’s global community collaborates on impact programmes and informs local, regional and global energy agendas in support of our enduring mission: to promote the sustainable use and supply of energy for the benefit of all people.
