New Congress Future Energy Leaders Cohort
We are pleased to announce the addition of 62 outstanding young energy professionals to the Congress Future Energy Leaders programme, an initiative of the World Energy Council dedicated to supporting and inspiring the next generation of energy leadership.
Building on more than 40 years of developing emerging talent, the Future Energy Leaders programme brings together high-potential individuals from across regions, sectors, and disciplines who have the ambition and capability to influence and drive whole energy system transitions. United by a shared commitment to shaping a future of more and better energy for all, these Future Energy Leaders contribute fresh perspectives, practical expertise, and collaborative leadership to the global energy dialogue.
A Congress Future Energy Leader is a selected emerging leader invited to participate in the World Energy Congress. As part of the global Future Energy Leaders delegation, they engage as full participants, contributing to Congress discussions, taking part in dedicated Future Energy Leader sessions, and actively participating in networking and community activities throughout the event.
In addition to their involvement in the programme, Congress Future Energy Leaders support national delegation-building efforts and promote the Congress across their professional networks, helping to expand its reach and visibility.
Through these experiences, they further develop their leadership capabilities while playing an integral role in shaping the World Energy Congress 2027.
The Congress Future Energy Leader participants reflect the diversity of today’s energy ecosystem, representing sectors including renewables, engineering, technology and innovation, oil and gas, government, non-governmental organisations, power and utilities, and finance.
